Lupe

Adopted: May 2004

"Lupe and I have a connection that is very strong. When I am around she is at my side. She is happy as a clam. My sisters take her to the dog park every day, where she swims and runs to her heart's content. When she is not at the park she is in the yard chasing squirrels or sitting next to my mother on the couch. For the week of the 4th of July, Stephan and I took Lupe up to the Russian River. We rented a house with some friends (and another dog). We had our own dock and Lupe had THE BEST time. She swam so much that when it was time for fire works she was too tired to even notice them. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that Lupe is doing very well. Everyone loves her - even people who don't like dogs like her. She is seriously the dog of a life time."

Hazel

Adopted: May 2004

"Hazel is doing great. She has adjusted to our family so well. It's like she has been with us forever. Hazel is putting on weight and getting much more playful. She loves to lie on her back and let us rub her belly. Chasing balls is one of her favorite games. Her personality is blossoming everyday. Hazel is a delight to have around and we couldn't be happier. We feel so blessed. Thank you to the staff of A Leg Up Rescue for making our family complete. A special thank you to the wonderful woman who rescued our Hazel; you are truly an angel."

Ella

Adopted: May 2004

Sweet little Ella was extremely fearful of being put on a leash. She would much prefer to sit on the couch or explore the back yard without having to actually go for a walk. Her new guardians are exactly who she hoped would adopt her - she gets to relax and watch the boats go by in the harbour without having to worry about being hooked to a pesky leash!

Archie

Adopted: May 2004

Archie has found his forever home with Laura and her daughter. His new name is PeeNutt and he has bonded well with his new family. When PeeNutt arrived, he did not have any idea how to walk on a leash, but with the dedication of his new family, he is now going for little walks and romps on the beach!
